Podcast Episode 96 - Like a Crossroads

This week I got very excited about video games. I was reminded Crossroads is coming out, and the GOTY of 2020 got a release date! Everything is coming together!

I didn't play anything and Matt played a few games he's been chipping away at, so we kind of just shoot the shit until we eventually talk about our hopes for Yakuza 7.

Podcast Episode 92 - Incriminating Myself in the Name of Dynasty Warriors

I'll be real honest with you guys there probably won't be time stamps for this one since I accidentally deleted the project file...

Anyways, this is our shortest episode yet where we talk about the hottest new reality TV show and Dynasty Warriors. Enjoy!

Podcast Episode 90 - The Two Last of Us

Sadly this week contains numerous allegations of sexual assault and predatory behavior in the video game industry. When talking about it we reference several Tweet threads. Which I will link below.
- https://twitter.com/inkydojikko/status/1275296031119310848

It's awful stuff, but at least it's coming to light. Some good stuff happened too like a new Crash Bandicoot, Min-Min in Smash and Pokemon Unite...

The only game we both played is The Last of us 2, which we talk about a lot and then pick a topic from Frosty which ends up being the original The Last of Us. So buckle up for a lot of talking about The Last of Us.

Sony came out swinging with tons of got PS5 gameplay, so we begin by talking about that. Matt was the only one who played anything this week, which we also talk about before determining our collective top ten games of the generation.

I'll be honest, this went a lot easier than I thought it would..until the very end.

Podcast Episode 87 - 6 Publishers and a Top 10

It's been an awful week in the U.S. as the murder of George Floyd by a police officer has sparked protests and incited even more police violence. The system is broken, and has been forever. Now is the time for change, and if you have a problem with the views Matt and I express during the first 7-10 minutes of this podcast we won't miss having you around.

The news is lighter than it was going to be originally this week as most gaming companies made the right decision to take a step back and let the world have a discourse about its issues.

Matt and I played one game each, which we briefly chat about before moving into the final 6 publishers we're going to discuss. The top 10 publishers of the generation list is completed in this episode.

Next time though, we're doing a top 10 games of the generation podcast. Hopefully that goes well.

Podcast Episode 84 - You're too Ubisoft

I apologize for the horrendous name of the episode this week.

The Summer Game Fest has begun and tons of weird random announcements have been coming out daily. There's a remaster of Tony Hawk 1&2, a new Unreal Engine, and a Paper Mario game!

This week the tables have turned and I was the only one who played a new game, which we discuss before moving on to our discussion about Ubisoft.

Podcast Episode 80 - Sonic and Sega All-Stars Podcast Transformed

Matt and I return once again to talk about the news, which is fairly scarce this week. Jason Schreier is leaving Kotaku, and Xbox has an upcoming joint announcement with Sega. What could it all mean?

As for games Matt has been trying out some indie titles while I've been on the opposite end of the spectrum playing a ridiculously high budget AAA title.

For the final segment we rank everyone's favorite blue hedgehog loving company Sega!

Podcast Episode 79 - Rated S for Nintendo

I initially thought this week was going to be much shorter, but thanks to Nintendo's wealth of games to talk about it ended up being just as long as every other one...

We start our first weekly podcast by discussing the news of the world such as Cooking Mama being de-listed and the newest Inside Xbox showing.

I didn't play anything new, and Matt had a few quick things to say about what he has been playing. I'm not going to do timestamps for specific games this week because of that!

As usual we end with a special discussion of Nintendo, which just so happens to be one of my favorite publishers of all time!

Podcast Episode 77 - Everything is Cancelled

Coronavirus is a very serious thing, and in an attempt to stay safe Matt and I have taken to social distancing. This sounds like a joke, but I am very serious about it. We don't want to take any unnecessary risks and get sick. Due to that fact we are recording the podcast over Discord for the foreseeable future. If there are any audio issues I apologize. We will attempt to work them out over the coming weeks.

There has been a lot of news in general the past few weeks and the world of video games is no different. We chat about that and what we played before transitioning into ranking 5 prominent indie publishers in our ranking of publishers.

Podcast Episode 71 - GOTY 2019

As always I am going to issue a rough audio warning. This one is better than previous years, but we're four people using a single mic. More often than not Scott and I are louder while Noukeo and Matt are quieter. Since it's all one track I can't properly adjust anything individually. Someday we'll be able to use multiple mics and it'll be magical.

This is the same as every GOTY podcast. We count down our favorite games of the year from 10 to 1. So buckle up for three and a half hours of non-stop action!
